The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Surigao del Sur responded to a reported man overboard incident in the vicinity waters off Lingig, Surigao del Sur, yesterday 23 January 2023.

Rescuers from the PCG and the 1504th PCGA Squadron proceeded to the location of the vessel that rescued the victim.

He was identified as a 19-year-old resident of Purok Nangka, Barangay Sta. Felomina, Cateel, Davao Oriental who accidentally fell and went overboard his motorbanca due to big waves and strong swell.

The PCG-PCGA rescue team brought him to Barangay Adlay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, for medical attention and further assistance.
