The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has received one unit of twin-engine 150HP speedboat and four units of personal watercraft from the Provincial Government of Cavite today, 19 May 2021.

According to PCG District NCR - Central Luzon Commander, Commodore Leovigildo Panopio, the assets will greatly help in intensifying PCG presence in the province, allowing Coast Guardians to better serve local residents by upholding maritime security, maritime safety, and marine environmental protection.

These will also be utilized in enforcing maritime laws and performing search and rescue operations in the vicinity waters off Cavite to ultimately ensure safety of lives and properties at sea.

This morning, Commodore Panopio paid a courtesy visit to Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla to express the Command's sincere appreciation to their generous gesture.

For his part, Governor Remulla reassured his commitment to fully support the PCG in the performance of its mandates, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic where Coast Guard frontline personnel are seen anywhere and everywhere.Β
