The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has welcomed a total of 489 public servants, composed of 51 commissioned officers and 438 enlisted personnel, during the joint graduation ceremony of the Coast Guard Officers’ Course Class 27-2020 “Alpha-Bagsik Laya” and Coast Guard Non-Officers' Course Class 80-2020 “Gintong-Layag” at the Regional Training Center in Bagac, Bataan on 19 June 2021.

In his speech, PCG Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr reminded the graduates that the purpose of their recruitment is to be able to serve with patriotism, compassion, and fear of God.

"You are here in the Philippine Coast Guard because God wants you, not only to have better lives, but to become His instruments in helping others," Admiral Ursabia said.

"Now that you have finished the training, you are expected to serve with humility and compassion," the Coast Guard Commandant added.

Also present during the joint graduation ceremony were Vice Commandant for Operations, Vice Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya and Commander of the Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command, Commodore Eustacio Nimrod P Enriquez.
