The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Northern Mindanao and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - Region 10 will intensify vessel monitoring capability in Misamis Oriental by INSTALLING A RADIO REPEATER at Sipaca Point in the municipality of Talisayan.

This after the DICT offered its facility tower and equipment where the radio repeater with a MAXIMUM RANGE OF 50 NAUTICAL MILES will be installed by the PCG. The project is expected to enhance MARITIME RESPONSE OPERATIONS for the benefit of domestic and international vessels transiting within the region.

During the coordination meeting on 18 June 2021, PCG Station Northeastern Misamis Oriental Commander, Lieutenant Junior Grade Stephen Pagcaliwagan and DICT - Region 10 Assistant Regional Director Leo Ugto discussed installation details for said project after the conduct of joint area survey and evaluation.

On behalf of DICT - Region 10, Assistant Regional Director Ugto expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the PCG for continuously improving maritime response operations in an effort to promote SAFETY OF NAVIGATION at the vicinity waters off Misamis Oriental.
