A total of 15 Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) officers have successfully completed the postgraduate course offered by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP)!
After hurdling for 12 months and 22 days, their graduation ceremony was held at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila on 29 June 2021.
The pioneering class of Master in Public Management, Major in Development Security with Specialization in Maritime Safety and Security or the PCG Officers' Senior Executive Course (PCGOSEC) Class 01-2020 was convened on 06 July 2020.
Since the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) between the PCG and DAP in 2019, the PCG - DAP collaboration continues to thrive by mutually building co-learners competencies to become competent officers for strategic levels of command and staff positions in the PCG, while sharing capacities and strengths to co-create knowledge within the overarching framework of development and security.
The Commandβs investment on human capital by bolstering partnership for the advancement of education and training is aimed towards PCGβs vision to achieve a world class Coast Guard by 2028.
The graduation ceremony was graced by PCG Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr and President and CEO of DAP, Atty. Engelbert C. Caronan Jr MNSA.
