Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Northeastern Mindanao Commander, Commodore Luisito Sibayan and Mrs. Flordelina Lopez have signed the deed of donation for PCG’s utilization of a 5,000-square-meter private land situated in Barangay Tiniwisan, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte on 31 July 2021.

Mrs. Lopez is the mother of former Coast Guard officer, Lieutenant Ide Lopez Jr.

The PCG regional office and training facility that will be constructed in the donated lot will intensify recruitment of locals into the Coast Guard service and ensure quality training for aspiring PCG officers and personnel in the region.

During the signing ceremony, Commodore Sibayan expressed his sincere gratitude to Mrs. Lopez for her generosity. He also shared that the realization said of infrastructure projects will enable the PCG District Northeastern Mindanao to further improve the delivery of public service and enforcement of maritime laws in their area of responsibility.
