The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Southeastern Mindanao will construct the Coast Guard Sub-Station Malalag in Barangay Baybay, Malalag, Davao del Sur following the signing of the deed of donation between the PCG and the said municipality through Mayor Peter Paul Valentin yesterday, 21 October 2021.

PCG District Southeastern Mindanao Commander, CG Commodore Allan Corpuz expressed his sincere gratitude to the municipality for opening its doors to the PCG towards making public service more accessible and available to residents of Malalag.

“Through this donation, PCG personnel could further uphold maritime security and maritime safety, especially along the economic area of the municipality – the Malalag Bay,” CG Commodore Corpuz said during the signing ceremony.

For his part, Mayor Valentin conveyed his full support to the PCG District Southeastern Mindanao that partners with the local government to uphold the health, safety, and security of the residents of Malalag amid the global pandemic.
