The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Guimaras participated in the TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY organized by the LGU of Nueva Valencia at Sitio Bunlao, Barangay Sto. Domingo in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras yesterday, 28 October 2021.

The said initiative aimed to replace trees that were affected by the structures inside the National Greening Program Site, in connection with the Annual Arbor Day celebrated every month of June as per Municipal Ordinance No. 04 series of 2015. The observance was postponed due to the spike of COVID-19 cases in the said municipality in June 2021.

Other government agencies that supported the tree planting activity included the Philippine National Police (PNP), PNP Highway Patrol Group, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), Department of Health (DOH), and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO).
