The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Special Operations Force – Northeastern Luzon conducted a five-day WATER SEARCH AND RESCUE – RUBBER BOAT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE TRAINING for a total of 28 personnel of the Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 at the Naval Base Camilo Osias, Barangay San Vicente, Sta. Ana, Cagayan from 01 to 05 November 2021.
The said training commenced through a reception rite followed by lectures, demonstration of water entries and swimming strokes, rubber boat assemble and disassemble, capsizing and recovery, as well as demonstration of different kinds of survival and lifesaving techniques. It ended with a one-mile qualification swim.
This training provided skills necessary for the first responders to provide needed public service during water-related incidents to uphold the safety of lives at sea.
