The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Sub-Station Cajidiocan has apprehended three fishermen engaged in illegal fishing at the vicinity waters off Cresta De Gallo Islet, Barangay Azagra, San Fernando, Romblon yesterday, 10 November 2021.

The said fishermen were onboard an unmarked blue motorbanca when they were caught in the act of using air compressor as breathing apparatus during their fishing operation.

The PCG informed them that they violated San Fernando Municipal Ordinance No. 35-B. Afterwards, their motorbanca was towed to the nearest shoreline.

PCG personnel also confiscated the equipment used by the violators, including one unit of cylinder tank, six spear guns, three pairs of flippers, approximately 140-meter hose, and 30 kilos of assorted fish which were properly turned over to the Office of the Municipal Agriculture for filling of appropriate charges.
