Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Coast Guard Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya has welcomed the newly designated Defense Attaché of Spain to the Philippines, Colonel Javier Martin Gil who paid a courtesy visit at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila today, 16 November 2021.

The Spanish Defense Attaché visited the PCG to properly introduce himself and to know more about the work and capabilities of the third armed service of the Philippines. He also assured the PCG that the Spanish Government will fully support its endeavors of mutual concerns.

Colonel Gil is responsible for the bilateral defense relations of the Philippines and Spain and officially began his duties and responsibilities as Defense Attaché on 01 August 2021.
