The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued seven passengers onboard a distressed motorbanca at the vicinity waters off Biri, Northern Samar on 18 November 2021.

The passengers departed from Tabaco, Albay going to San Isidro, Northern Samar when the shaft connected to the propeller accidentally broke, causing the propeller to malfunction.

The motorbanca was towed to Balwharteco Port in Allen, Northern Samar, while the rescued passengers were brought to the PCG Station Northern Samar for further assistance and investigation.
