The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has conducted the simultaneous oath-taking ceremony of 1,135 newly-appointed commissioned officers and enlisted personnel in various Coast Guard districts nationwide today, 28 December 2021.

PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya presided over the said ceremony at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.

“Congratulations to the new PCG appointees! Today marks the beginning of your transformation into more mature, professional, and competent Coast Guardians. Starting today, you will be honed to become hardworking and competent public servants who offer committed and selfless service to the country,” the Coast Guard Commandant said.

The appointees were composed of 264 commissioned officers (158 male and 106 female) and 871 enlisted personnel (669 male and 202 female).

Health and safety protocols were strictly observed during the activity.
