The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) tops the Armed Forces of the Philippines Sergeant Major Course (AFPSMC) Class 21 in a commencement exercise at Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command, Naval Enlisted Personnel School at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in San Antonio Zambales on 07 April 2022.

Said class was composed of 26 senior enlisted leaders from the various branch of service from the Philippine Navy, Philippine Navy (Marines) and PCG from which all students from the PCG graduated with flying colors.

The Office of the Command Master Chief PCG, together with other Senior Non-Officers witnessed the graduation rites where CG Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Aileen Bieren garnered the highest overall grades and was recognized as the top student in the class followed by CG CPO Febelyn Mercado being the second highest ranking student.

Meanwhile, the PCG takes pride of other CPOs who placed among top ten students namely:

1) CG CPO Lisa Maurice A Masculino (Top 5)

2) CG CPO Lourdes C Lagyap (Top 6)

3) CG CPO Brian M Iso (Top 8 and was conferred the Best Staff Study)

The opportunity provides a great advantage for PCG senior non-officers not only in terms of career advancement but for further establish harmonious relationship and enhancement of interoperability with counterparts from the AFP in the performance of agencies mandates in the maritime domain.
