The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Basilan search and rescue (SAR) team rescued two passengers on board a capsized motorbanca, Jarayfa in the vicinity waters off Isabela City, Basilan Channel this morning, 11 April 2022.

According to the boat operator, they encountered big waves and strong winds while underway to Zamboanga City from Malamawi Island, Isabela City, causing for their motorbanca to capsize.

The crew of MV Seajet of Aleson Shipping Lines saw the incident and called the PCG Station Basilan for assistance.

The rescued individuals were declared in good physical condition.
