The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) joined the MULTI-AGENCY SEND-OFF CEREMONY in connection with the UPCOMING 2022 NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS held at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Grandstand, Camp Crame, Quezon City today, 04 May 2022.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), PNP, and Department of Education (DepEd) also joined the event, with the Commission of Election (COMELEC) as the lead agency.

Reaffirming the Coast Guard’s commitment to ensure free, orderly, honest, and peaceful elections, PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu said that Coast Guard K9 teams, medical teams, security teams, floating assets, and land vehicles are all set and ready for election-related deployments nationwide.

Also present during the send-off ceremony were AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres Centino; PNP Chief, Police General Dionardo Carlos; DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones; and COMELEC Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan.
