Ito ang hamon ni Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu sa 1,325 trainees na sasailalim sa Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course (CGNOC) sa PCG regional training centers sa Taguig, La Union, at Zamboanga.

Bago sumabak sa anim na buwang pagsasanay, nagsama-sama ang mga trainees ng CGNOC Class 90, Class 91, at Class 92 sa Pier 13, Port Area, Manila para sa JOINT OATH-TAKING AT CONVENING CEREMONY kahapon, ika-16 ng Mayo 2022.

“It is expected of every Coast Guard personnel to be an individual of character. I want to emphasize the importance of discipline and obedience. You need to learn and cultivate the culture of respect, trust, teamwork, and good human relations,” ani CG Admiral Abu.

Dagdag pa rito, binigyang-diin ng Komandante ang kahalagahan ng mga pagsubok na pagdaraanan nila sa training center para maging epektibong kabahagi ng PCG sa pagtupad ng mga mandato nito.

“You must be physically fit, academically proficient, and a public servant with a strong foundation of virtues and character. We expect no less from all of you,” dagdag pa niya.

Sa huli, kinilala at pinasalamatan ni CG Admiral Abu ang mga magulang na sumusuporta sa kanilang mga anak sa pagkamit ng pangarap na makapasok sa PCG.

“Thank you for entrusting your sons and daughters under our supervision. We assure you that we will do our best for them to become better versions of themselves,” pahayag ng Komandante.

“To our trainees, strive hard for excellence! I challenge all of you to finish the course. Walang mag-re-resign. Walang mag-qu-quit sapagkat napakaraming kabataang Pilipino ang nagnanais na mapabilang sa inyo. Huwag ninyong sayangin ang pagkakataong ito,” pagtatapos niya.
