Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu, graced the belated Coast Guard Father's Day celebration at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila yesterday, 20 June 2022.

In his speech, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu expressed his gratitude to those who planned and implemented the said initiative, for the first time at the National Headquarters, to provide an avenue for fellowship between and among PCG personnel.

"Natutuwa ako, very elaborate yung preparation. Everybody is celebrating with us, hindi lang yung mga tatay. Babae, lalake, tatay man o hindi must be here and celebrate with us. This is a proof that we, in the Coast Guard, especially here at the Headquarters, are getting stronger as one family," CG Admiral Abu said.

“Yun po ang diwa ng pagiging pamilya natin sa Coast Guard. Lahat tayo’y mahalaga. Kailangan tayo ay laging nagkakaisa at sama-sama. The celebration of Father’s Day is just one of the celebrations that we will be doing together,” Admiral Abu furthered.

Deputy Commandant for Operations, CG Vice Admiral Eduardo Fabricante; Deputy Commandant for Administration, CG Vice Admiral Rolando Lizor Punzalan; Chief of Coast Guard Staff, CG Commodore Tito Alvin T Andal; and other PCG senior officers also attended the said event.
