CG Commander Jera Decolongon of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Legal Service received the AWARD OF DISTINCTION during the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) 33rd Graduation Ceremony held at Villa Arrigo, Naxxar, Malta on 01 July 2022.

Graduates receive the said award for achieving a total mark of at least 225. The passing mark for the Master of Laws Degree is 135. CG Commander Decolongon garnered a total mark of 246.7.

CG Commander Decolongon is one of the PCG's nominated students for the IMO IMLI Degree of Master of Laws in International Maritime Law Class 2021-2022.

The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) Seafarers' Trust Fund sponsored her fellowship grant.

Moreover, she received the PROFESSOR DAVID ATTARD PRIZE FOR BEST PERFORMANCE IN THE LAW OF THE SEA, which is given to the IMO IMLI graduate who performed best in the assessment of the modules.
