Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Navy, and Philippine Marines donated blood during the ANNUAL BLOODLETTING DRIVE at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, today, 09 July 2022.

The Rotary Club of Makati Circle of Friends organized the initiative with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and the Maritime Community Relations of the PCG Auxiliary District National Capital Region–Central Luzon.

A total of 276 blood donors who passed the screening and hemoglobin tests participated in the said initiative in observance of BLOOD DONORS MONTH as per Presidential Proclamation No. 1021 Series of 1997.

Ms. Nelia Cruz Sarcol, Charter President of the Rotary Club of Makati Circle of Friends, supervised the blood donation process and distribution of sacks of rice to the donors in recognition of their valuable contribution.

CG Captain Christopher Auro, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Civil Relations Service, CG-7; CG Captain Alexis Calderon, Commander of PCG Medical Service; and Auxiliary Commander Diether Ocampo, Deputy Chief of Staff for Maritime Community Relations of the PCGA, also supported the said initiative.
