The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued 14 fishermen onboard the distressed motorbanca 'Prince Arnold' in the vicinity waters off Siruma, Camarines Sur, on 12 September 2022.

The PCG conducted search and rescue (SAR) operations after the boat owner, Mr. Arnold Leynes, reported that ‘Prince Arnold’ encountered engine trouble and was dead on the water.

Mr. Leynes also shared that two of the 16 fishermen onboard his distressed motorbanca were already rescued by a transiting motorbanca.

After confirming that the 14 fishermen were in good physical condition, the PCG SAR team towed the distressed motorbanca towards the shoreline of Pandawan Fish Port, Barangay 7, Mercedes, Camarines Norte.
