The men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) express their condolences to the bereaved loved ones of CG Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG) Rando Val Siega who was killed in a shooting incident at Barangay Banaba Cerca, Indang, Cavite at around 11:30 a.m. on 26 September 2022.

Based on Indang Municipal Police Station's investigation, CG LTJG Siega was at his father-in-law's house when the suspect, Mr. Jerry Creus, shot him several times.

He was brought to the nearest hospital where the attending physician declared him "dead on arrival."

CG LTJG Siega was assigned onboard BRP Melchora Aquino (MRRV-9702). He married a fellow Coast Guard commissioned officer, CG LTJG Khristelle Joyce Panganiban-Siega on 17 September 2022 — nine days before he died.
