The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) urges the public to report malicious and illegal recruitment transactions.
PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu, emphasized the Command does not tolerate the said act that does not align with the organization's core values.
On 10 October 2022, the authorities arrested Princess Sandra Macapeges in ParaΓ±aque City for extorting money from aspiring PCG applicants in exchange for their inclusion in the final list for the Coast Guard training.
Moreover, PCG encourages the public to communicate complaints against Coast Guard personnel for any irregularities that may misrepresent the organization.
All messages and reports shall be classified as ππππ ππππππππ.
"The public plays an active role in preventing such crime and is part of the solution to instill discipline among the PCG workforce, uphold integrity, and maintain public trust," the Coast Guard Commandant expressed.
