The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Northern Negros Occidental conducted Search and Rescue (SAR) and Oil Spill Response Operation (OSRO) Simulation Exercises at Banago Port, Bacolod City, on 19 October 2022.

This improved maritime stakeholders' readiness and response plans, procedures, and systems in conducting SAR and OSRO.

The PCG Auxiliary (PCGA) 618th Squadron, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office-Bacolod, Bacolod Harbor Pilot, and Bacolod Tugboat Services Corporation participated in the said simulation exercises.
