The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) responds to a maritime incident involving a domestic vessel, MV EQUADOR, that ran aground in the vicinity waters off Batangas City due to #PaengPH today, 30 October 2022.

The five Filipino crew members are safe and in good physical condition. They also said they have no cargoes onboard.

The PCG Station Batangas is in close coordination with the ship owner to monitor the status of the vessel and crew.

The PCG conducted an oil spill assessment and yielded a negative result.
