The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and PNP Maritime Group apprehended six fishermen engaged in illegal dynamite fishing in the vicinity waters off Ternate, Cavite, on 10 November 2022.

While conducting intensified maritime security patrol off Carabao Island in Ternate, the team saw a suspicious fishing boat and inspected it. 

They found six dynamite bottles with an air compressor onboard the fishing boat.

The team apprehended the fishermen and escorted their fishing boat to the nearest shoreline for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.

The PCG Station Cavite remains active in seaborne patrols to suppress illegal, unreported, unregulated fishing and other lawless activities in their area of responsibility.
