The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) assisted in intercepting four passengers involved in Trafficking In Person (TIP) on board M/V EVERQUEEN in Tawi-Tawi on 03 February 2023.

According to the PCG's Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC), the four passengers confessed to planning to travel to Malaysia to work as loggers at the J/T Logging Company through a backdoor channel.

They were turned over to the Bongao Municipal Interagency Committee Against Trafficking (MIACAT) for proper disposition.
