The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Southern Mindanao assisted in responding to a fire on board incident involving F/V PURPLE LILAC 888 while on dock at Barangay Tambler, General Santos City, today, 07 February 2023.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared fire out at around 01:45PM --- after three hours of combatting fire.

As of press time, the authorities are still determining the cause of the incident.
