President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr has approved the promotion of three Vice Admiral and seven Rear Admiral of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), based on the recommendation of the Department of Transportation - Philippines (DOTr) Secretary Jaime J Bautista.

In the transmittal papers sent by the Office of the President to the Office of the Transportation Secretary on 09 December 2022, the Chief Executive gave his go signal for the promotion of the following flag rank officers.

1) Vice Admiral Robert Noble Patrimonio – Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Command

2) Vice Admiral Joseph Macellones Coyme – Commander, Maritime Safety Services Command 

3) Vice Admiral Ronnie Gil Latorilla Gavan –  Deputy Commandant for Administration, PCG

4.) Rear Admiral Eustacio Nimrod Palomero Enriquez Jr – Commander, Coast Guard Education Training and Doctrine Command

5.) Rear Admiral Rudyard Madueño Somera – Director, Coast Guard Strategic Studies and International Affairs Center

6.) Rear Admiral Gregorio Ilagan Adel Jr – Commander, Coast Guard Inspector General and Internal Affairs Service

7.) Rear Admiral Edgardo Taganas Hernando- Commander, Coast Guard Special Operations Force

8.) Rear Admiral Hostillo Arturo Egay Cornelio – Commander, Coast District National Capital Region- Central Luzon

9.) Rear Admiral Armando Aurelio Balilo – Commander, Coast Guard Internal Audit

10.) Rear Admiral Nelson Barcebal Torre – Deputy Commander, Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command

The abovementioned promotees of the Coast Guard are scheduled to take oath before the DOTr Secretary Bautista. Their arrival honors and breaking of personal flags ceremonies will ensue thereafter.
