The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Southwestern Mindanao deployed PCG-manned BFAR vessel, MCS-3007, to rescue eight fishermen on board FB SUSAN in the vicinity waters off Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay yesterday, 25 February 2023.

According to the rescued individuals, they departed from Pagadian City to conduct fishing operations at Sibuguey Bay in Zamboanga City, but experienced engine trouble.

After confirming that the eight fishermen were in good physical condition, MCS-3007 towed the distressed fishing boat towards Sangali Port in Zamboanga City.
