The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Zamboanga del Sur responded to a maritime incident involving a banca that capsized in the vicinity waters off Pagadian City yesterday, 03 April 2023.

The SAR team rescued the two passengers --- 65-year-old Victoria Baylosis and 60-year-old Minggoy Dipanaga --- both residents of Barangay Bulanit, Pagadian City.

According to the rescued individuals, they departed Barangay Santiago en route to Barangay Bulanit onboard a banca that capsized due to big waves.

The SAR team ferried them to their residence after ensuring that they were good physical condition.
