The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a medical evacuation to assist a wounded ship crew of a foreign-flagged vessel, MT KMARIN DIAMOND (United Kingdom) in the vicinity waters off Parola De Labuan, Zamboanga City, on 03 April 2023.

The PCG deployed BRP Cape Engaño (MRRV-4411) to assist 55-year-old Trinidad Nivardo Fabon Jr that acquired a wound on his forehead while working on board the vessel.

MT KMARIN DIAMOND's local shipping agent arranged an ambulance that ferried the injured crew to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, the said motor tanker proceeded to its next port of call in Australia after the medical evacuation.
