The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) assisted in rescuing nine passengers and two crew members of a burning motorbanca, PRINCESS JOYCE, in the vicinity waters off Barangay Pag-asa, Bagac, Bataan, on Good Friday, 07 April 2023.

According to the boat operator, they were going to Barangay Banawan Cove when he noticed the fuel was insufficient to reach their destination.

The fire onboard occurred while he was refueling the motorbanca.

The PCG also provided first aid and ensured that all passengers and crew members were in good physical condition.
