The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) seizes more than Php 268,000 worth of allegedly undocumented imported used clothes commonly known as "UKAY-UKAY" at the Port of Matnog, Sorsogon, today, 09 May 2023.

Coast Guard personnel were inspecting the vicinity when they saw a suspected truck carrying 50 UNDECLARED BOXES.

During the inspection, the PCG saw that the boxes contained allegedly undocumented imported used clothes.

The driver said they were going to Davao City from Matnog, Sorsogon.

The three suspects (one driver and two cargo helpers) remain under the Coast Guard Sub-Station Matnog's custody, while the authorities continue to investigate the incident and assess the seized items.
