The Coast Guard Sub-Station Matnog has reported the following update regarding the allegedly undocumented imported used clothes commonly known as "ukay-ukay" seized at the Port of Matnog, Sorsogon, yesterday, 09 May 2023.

At around 07:30PM, the owner of the said goods appeared at the Coast Guard Sub-Station Matnog and presented a receipt to prove that the 50 boxes contained mall pull-out items and not "ukay-ukay."

Upon verification, Coast Guard personnel released the driver and two cargo helpers of the truck carrying approximately Php 268,000 worth of goods so they could proceed to Davao City.
