The Philippine Coast Guard (PCGA) has honored seven PCG Auxiliary (PCGA) officers for their 20 years of continuous active service in support of Coast Guard mandates yesterday, 16 June 2023.
This occurred during the 38th PCGA National Convention in Nasugbu, Batangas, graced by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista.
PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu, and PCGA National Director, Auxiliary Vice Admiral Manuel Luis Idquival, assisted DOTr Secretary Bautista in conferring the "Dolphin Service Plaque Recognition Award and Badge" to the following PCGA officers:
1. Auxiliary Commodore Alexander Abilo
2. Auxiliary Commodore Mylene Co
3. Auxiliary Captain Rassel Faustino
4. Auxiliary Captain Martin MariΓ±as
5. Auxiliary Captain Franklin Joseph Solita
6. Auxiliary Captain Venerando Adran
7. Auxiliary Captain Samson Lim
They have also completed their term as "Director Auxiliary Squadron (DAS)."
Auxiliary Vice Admiral Idquival thanked the awardees for fully supporting the PCG in selflessly serving the nation.
The PCGA National Director also urged the awardees to consider their newest badge a "mark of honor," inspiring them to become role models to their fellow volunteers to keep offering their time, expertise, and resources for public service.
