To pay tribute to the inspiring leadership of the Auxiliary Vice Admiral Manuel Luis Idquival, the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) hosted a National Director's Night in Nasugbu, Batangas, on 16 June 2023.

This occurred during the 38th PCGA National Convention (NACON) and the 51st founding anniversary celebration.

Auxiliary Vice Admiral Idquival has led the PCGA for the past two years as a reliable public service partner of the PCG through some of the most challenging times and into the new normal.

The PCG Commandant honored Auxiliary Vice Admiral Idquival's leadership as the PCGA has introduced significant changes to make its ranks credible, formidable, and reliable as members were carefully chosen, well indoctrinated, trained, and guided.

CG Admiral Abu furthered that when said official assumed his post as National Director in 2021, he promoted the PCGA to become a community-based service and established more robust ties with the Coast Guard districts throughout the country.

"I have nothing to ask for more; only a wish is left for me to convey that this partnership will continue to grow. Our bonds will stay stronger. And that our family will get bigger - all for the benefit, not of ourselves, but of our bigger family: the Filipino People, whom we serve," CG Admiral Abu added.

The Commandant also congratulated the National Auxiliary Management Board, the National Deputy Directors, and officials in critical positions for a job well done in the service of the PCGA for the benefit of our country and the entire humanity. Β
