The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) inked a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) with ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc. in Cainta, Rizal, yesterday, 18 July 2023.

PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio Abu, and ICCT Colleges President, Dr. Vivien Co Say, presided over the signing ceremony.

Under the MOA, the PCG shall assist the ICCT Colleges in providing its students with water survival training, first aid emergency training, and occupational safety seminars.

For its part, ICCT Colleges shall provide deserving Coast Guard personnel and their dependents with bachelor's degree course scholarships, except for health sciences programs.

"This will help tear down the economic barrier to quality tertiary education for [Coast Guard personnel], and their family," CG Admiral Abu said during the MOA signing ceremony.

"It will not only boost the morale of our personnel but [also] open doors and opportunities [for a brighter] future," he added.
