Forty-six Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) officers completed the four-day Commanding Officers/Executive Officers Designate Course-Maritime Law Enforcement Module in Manila yesterday, 20 July 2023.

The Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the University of Wollongong's Australian National Centre for Ocean Resource and Security (ANCORS) conducted the second iteration of the course.

During the four-day initiative, the students learned about short, practitioner-focused, and "on-water" operations essential in maritime law enforcement operations.

PCG Deputy Commandant for Operations, CG Vice Admiral Rolando Lizor Punzalan Jr, graced the closing ceremony, where he thanked the ANCORS led by the Director and Distinguished Professor Sturt Kaye, for sharing their expertise.

Moreover, CG Vice Admiral Punzalan Jr urged the students to continue their pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

"With knowledge as our compass and consistency as our guiding star, we shall navigate the vast ocean of possibilities, embarking on a journey of greatness," CG Vice Admiral Punzalan Jr expressed.
