PCG COMMISSIONS OVER 200 OFFICERS

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Artemio M Abu, spearheaded the donning and oath-taking ceremony of 229 newly commissioned PCG officers at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, today, 07 August 2023.

“Being an officer in the PCG may be a tough and thankless job, but it is an adventure of a lifetime and a very rewarding career,” CG Admiral Abu expressed.

Moreover, the Coast Guard Commandant emphasized that this milestone proved they are competent, wise, mature, flexible, and adaptable public servants.

During the ceremony, CG Admiral Abu also congratulated CG Captain Joseph Alejandro Trinidad and CG Captain Christine Bagaan-Asis who have been promoted to the next higher rank and urged them to be role models for the next generation of leaders.
