The Philippine Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM has received a 22ft-long speedboat through the signing of the deed of donation in Sasa, Davao City today, 21 November 2023.
PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan; CGDSEM Commander, CG Commodore Rejard Marfe; and donor, Mrs. Hannah Saavedra-Straver signed the document.
The ceremonial signing was witnessed by CG Vice Admiral Roy Echeverria, Director ofΒ National Coast Watch Center and CG Vice Admiral Allan Victor Dela Vega, Deputy Commandant for Administration.
CG Admiral Gavan expressed his gratitude to the stakeholder's unwavering support to the organization toward the accomplishment of its mandates and functions.
CG Commodore Marfe said the speedboat will be used in conducting routine maritime patrols and in enforcing maritime laws within the jurisdiction of CG Station Davao Oriental particularly in Mati City.
Also present during the event were Coast Guard Inspector GeneralΒ and Internal Affairs Service, Acting Commander, CG Commodore Mitzie Campo; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for International Affairs, CG Commodore Algier Ricafrente; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Education and Training, CG Captain Noemie Cayabyab; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Strategic Studies and Modernization, CG Captain Eric Ferrancullo and other PCG senior officers.
