Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel of the BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301) conducted an 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐊 𝐎𝐏𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 at the Manila Bay Anchorage Area on 07 December 2023.

The Coast Guard Fleet said the training aimed to develop Coast Guardians' proficiency in aircraft handling, aircraft landing and takeoff procedures, and emergency response protocols.

During the capacity building initiative, Coast Guard personnel learned how to efficiently coordinate and ensure the smooth and safe aircraft operations on the flight deck.

BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301)'s Commanding Officer, CG Lieutenant Commander Ryan Jay Ganaden, thanked the Coast Guard Aviation Force (CGAF) for facilitating the training which enhanced his crew's overall readiness.
