The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has retrieved an unidentified floating cadaver sighted by a concerned citizen near a tugboat docked in the vicinity waters off Brgy. Baseco, Port Area, Manila today, 01 January 2024.

Upon receiving the report at around 1:45PM, the PCG conducted search and retrieval operations.

Based on the initial assessment, the unidentified floating cadaver was approximately 45 years old, male, wearing a striped (red/white) shirt, and black shorts.

The cadaver is currently on the rubber boat, awaiting Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel for proper disposition.
