Coast Guard Working Dog (CGWD) Appa has assisted rescuers in locating at least three cadavers following the recent landslide incident at Brgy. Masara, Maco, Davao de Oro, on 06 February 2024.

 The Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) said CGWD Appa also found a body part of an unidentified individual during the ongoing search and retrieval operations.

CGWD Appa is a highly trained member of the Coast Guard K9 Search and Rescue Unit.
