The Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN) joined the eradication of Php 9 million worth of marijuana plants in Tinglayan, Kalinga, on 08 February 2024.

The said operation was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Kalinga Provincial Office.

The authorities uprooted and burned down approximately 45,000 pieces of marijuana plants that covered a 3,000-square-meter area in Tinglayan.

CGDNELZN Commander, CG Captain Ludovico Librilla Jr, lauded Coast Guard personnel who augmented the operation. He also recognized the significance of other agencies' cooperation, which proved their commitment to enforcing the law and safeguarding the community.
