The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has recovered abandoned six master cases of alleged smuggled cigarettes at Barangay Calasaguen, Brooke's Point, Palawan, on 18 February 2024.

The said goods, with an estimated market value of Php 120,000, were covered with a tarpaulin when a concerned citizen found and reported it to the PCG.

The Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL) said they are investigating to determine the origin and suspects behind the contraband.

The Palawan Tobacco Institute (PTI) also joined the said operation.
