The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) responds to a collision between Fishing banca "Jhon Maisiel" and an unidentified motor vessel at the vicinity waters off Mansalay, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro on 24 March 2024.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Bulalacao was informed that there was a colission incident at the said area.

After the receipt of the information, said personnel proceed to the vicinity to verify the report and to render necessary assistance.

Upon arriving, the team immediately conducted inquiry to Mr. Reniel Reyes, relative of Mr. Jimmy Aquino who was the owner of the said fishing banca.

All 27 fishermen were in good physical condition. However, one of the fishing crew Mr. Gino Gado 20 years old, resident of Brgy. Sta, Maria, Mansalay, Bulalacao were reported missing.

The fishing banca arrived at Brgy. B Del Mundo, Mansalay, Bulalacao to repair the damaged starboard outrigger and pilot house.

At around 1:55 pm, CGSS Bulalacao and MDRRMO together with Maritime Police conducted Search and Rescue to the said missing person.
