The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Indian Coast Guard (ICG) have conducted a Marine Pollution Response Training (MPR) onboard ICG Ship "Samudra Paheredar" in Port Area, Manila, yesterday, 27 March 2024.

According to the ICG, "Samudra Parehedar" has specialized capabilities for containing and recovering oil spills.

Aside from marine pollution response, the said ICG ship also performs International Maritime Boundary Line and Exclusive Economic Zone surveillance, counter-transnational crimes, and Maritime Search and Rescue (SAR).
