The Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM) monitored over 100,000 inbound and outbound sea passengers in all ports and waterways within its area of responsibility (AOR) amid Semana Santa 2024.
The said PCG District also inspected and ensured safe voyage of approximately 800 motorbancas and vessels from 24 to 31 March 2024.
Moreover, their quick response teams conducted baywatch and seaborne patrols in various beach resorts and coastal areas for the safety and security of local and foreign tourists.
CGDNM Commander, CG Commodore Bingbong Fiesta, thanked the residents of Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and Bukidnon for their cooperation and vigilance during the recent observance of Holy Week.
