The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine National Police (PNP) seized β‚±82,000 worth of illegal drugs found on board motorbanca β€œFamaz Doz” at the Port of Corcuera in Romblon on 06 April 2024.

Coast Guard Working Dog (CGWD) Lilian showed a positive indication when she inspected two sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as "shabu" weighing 9.5 grams each. The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog said these were found concealed inside a balikbayan box.

The Municipal Police Station (MPS) Corcuera secured the seized items in accordance with proper protocols and for the subsequent filing of cases in violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The joint PCG-PNP anti-illegal drug operation commenced after the MPS Corcuera received an information regarding a suspected illegal drug activity on board motorbanca β€œFamaz Doz.”
